Projected Augmentation: Live Paper

Our projected AR work has focused on augmenting paper with computational capabilities. In contrast to earlier video-augmented environments that read from and project onto paper, our scheme allows pages to be arranged anywhere in the zone of augmentation. They must therefore be recognized and tracked. The technology developed for this includes a highly efficient variant of Hausdorff distance matching.
