"I am working as a display hardware engineer at Sharp Laboratories of Europe, within the European Design Centre. I work closely with European telecommunications customers and Japanese colleagues to specify, develop and evaluate LCD displays.
Within my work I am responsible for electronics for 3 of our customer projects, and I am also responsible for ensuring some of our test set-ups are in line with our customers.
My work is quite varied including analogue and digital electronics with a small amount of software as well. Most programming I have completed is fairly low-level, but some of our students program in some higher level software, so some understanding is good to be able to help them. My degree gave me a good basis in all areas of electronics, which has been important within my job as the work can be quite varied. I did not expect to use the music technology part of my degree, but unexpectedly there has been a use for that as well.
I graduated in 2006 from Electronic Engineering with Music Technology Systems"
