In the Biological Systems Laboratory, we are interested in how methods from electronics and computing can be applied to solve problems within the domains of biology, ecology and medicine. Our research falls within three general areas: computational neuroscience, biomedical engineering, and bio-applied systems engineering. We work closely with the Bio-Inspired Architectures laboratory, and make use of evolutionary and immune based systems in addition to more traditional techniques such as signal and image processing.
