" I chose to pursue a PhD degree in York because the EMC group is highly esteemed in this area. I believe my experiences in York may enhance my career in the future.

I was interested in microwaves and electromagnetics in my undergraduate studies. In May 2007, I attended a national conference on microwave technology in Hefei city, China. That was the first time I learn about issues in electromagnetic compatibility, which inspired me to take further study in the topic.

The EMC research group has state of art facilities that enable me to carry out a broad range of experiments. What is more important, there are resourceful staff and I can knock at their doors and discuss whenever I have a problem.

I enjoy the teamwork in my group, which broadens my perspective through the collaboration with people with different expertises."
