Di Liu, PhD student, Communications Research Group

" In 2005 I graduated from Sichuan University in China and then came to UK to further my research on the electronics related course. After finishing my MSc in Manchester University, I decided to join the Communication group in the University of York as a PhD student. York is one of my favorite cities in UK not only because the famous history and the beautiful environment, but also the friendly atmosphere and nice local people. In our group, researchers from different countries and backgrounds communicate and discuss with each other on academic issues. The distinguished professors and lecturers also give a lot of help and support in our research fields. I am really pleased that I chose here to do my research work and very enjoy the study and life in York.

For my research, I have been working on the adaptive MIMO-OFDM system and investigate space-time coding techniques to improve its performance. Currently, I pay more attention on the application of tensor decompositions in the MIMO and OFDM systems and focus on the channel estimation with multiantenna space-time coding. I am glad to carry on my research with freedom under the academic guidance by my kindly supervisor.

Excellent teach experience and equipments, nice campus and good accommodation, wonderful life experience. Welcome to York University, welcome to communication group."
