Welcome! Thank you for visiting the Department of Electronics at the University of York.

We belong to a world-leading Russell Group UK University. The Department itself is Number 1 for student satisfaction this year (2014) for Electrical and Electronic Engineering. In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF 2014), 87% of our research is judged to be World Leading (4*) and Internationally Excellent (3*) and our Grade Point Average (GPA) has risen from 2.55 to 2.91. We have dedicated expert staff and talented, enthusiastic and diverse students who make up our community of electronic engineers working in many areas including nanotechnology, communications, electromagnetic compatibility, engineering management, bioacoustics, acoustic and music technology and engineering management. We are keen to share what we do for the common good in the world, and to provide our graduate engineers with the skills they require to meet creatively tomorrow‘s engineering challenges.
