Welcome! Thank you for visiting the Department of Electronics at the University of York.

We belong to one of the world's top 100 Universities, located in York, a beautiful city, often voted among the UK's best. The Department itself is Number 1 for student satisfaction this year (2014) for Electrical and Electronic Engineering. In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise the majority of our submission, including 77.5% of our research output, was judged world-leading or internationally excellent. We have dedicated expert staff and talented, enthusiastic and diverse students who make up our community of electronic engineers working in many areas including nanotechnology, communications, electromagnetic compatibility, engineering management, bioacoustics, music technology and engineering management. We are keen to share what we do for the common good in the world..
