Welcome! Thank you for visiting the Department of Electronics at the University of York.
We belong to one of the world's top 100 Universities, located in York, a beautiful city, often voted among the UK's best. The Department itself is in the Top 10 of the Times and Guardian subject league tables. In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise the majority of our submission, including 77.5% of our research output, was judged world-leading or internationally excellent. In the 2008 and 2009 National Student Surveys we were ranked first in the UK for electronic and electrical engineering. We are delighted at this recognition, and with dedicated expert staff and talented, enthusiastic and diverse students we are determined to do better still.
We hope you will find what you are looking for on this website, but please don't hesitate to contact us if you have queries.
